Kuro Games Reportedly Hiring For Competitive Game Project
Job Highlights RTS, MOBA, Shooting, and Fighting Games
Wuthering Waves and Punishing Grey Raven developer Kuro Games is reportedly developing a new MOBA or RTS-type game following news that they’re looking for new staff members. On the Chinese online job recruitment website Zhipin, the studio put up two separate job listings.
Namely, the team is looking for a "copywriter for an ongoing project" and a "test team leader for an ongoing project," both preferably with a love for competitive games such as RTS (real-time strategy), MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena), shooting games, and fighting games.
The copywriter position also included responsibilities such as participating in world view setting, character design, and story content writing, as well as understanding the aesthetics of ACG (animation, comics, and games). In contrast, the test team leader position listed more technical-leaning tasks, like developing an anti-cheat detection system, locating performance bottlenecks, building an end-to-end performance analysis platform, and even having long-term competitive game experience that is backed up by a high rank.
As the listing detailed that it is for an "ongoing project" and the fact that neither of Kuro Games’ active titles are any of these genres, fans speculate that this game may be the previously teased Project NAMI, or an entirely new IP that’s yet to be publicly hinted or announced but has been in development for quite some time.
Where Is Project NAMI?
First spotted on Kuro Games’ career page in 2023 as a job listing, Project NAMI remains to be a mysterious title with no news on its development whatsoever. However, checking the Kuro Games’ job page on their website shows several positions open for NAMI that have been published since October 2024, with the most recent listing titled "NAMI-System Planning" being updated recently today on March 12th, 2025.
Kuro Games themselves still have not publicly announced Project NAMI or any other project that they may be working on, but these listings show that they are nevertheless still in development in some shape or form.
