Gamera Games Announces New Information for Games

Gamera Games announced updates for Dyson Sphere Program, Shapez 2, and new releases for 2025. The broadcast also showed a trailer for Lost & Found Co., which will be released sometime in Q1 2025, but can now be added to your Steam wishlist.

Dyson Sphere Program

Dyson Sphere Program is a space factory simulation game by Youthcat Studio that’s been available on Steam Early Access since 2021 and has since been updated regularly, most recently with a dedicated combat system.

Your goal in this game is to create your very own Dyson Sphere, an energy-harnessing space megastructure, by creating, managing, and optimizing planetary factories, all while defending your production line from an endless tide of enemy ships.

Successful Combat Update With More to Come

Youthcat Studio producer Xun Zhou kicked off the Gamera Games presentation at TGS 2024 with a dramatic trailer for Dyson Sphere Program, covering the game’s recent combat update and all upcoming content in 2025.

Xhou also discussed all future plans for the game in great detail, promising more frequent combat updates, a streamlined player experience, expanded language support, and a modular vehicle system—with the exciting addition of space stations on the horizon.

Streamlined Player Experience

A key takeaway from the Dyson Sphere Program presentation was Youthcat Studio's commitment to addressing player feedback, particularly around the game's clunky tutorial. With the recent streamlining of the logistical system and the addition of the Dark Fog combat mechanics, the developers are focused on making the tutorial and early game more accessible, ensuring new players have a smoother entry into the complex factory-building experience.

Modular Vehicles and Space Stations

One of the most anticipated updates for Dyson Sphere Program is the introduction of modular space vehicles and space stations. While details are still limited, producer Xun Xhou highlighted that modularization and customization will be central to this update, extending to the player's "Icarus" mech-suit. With the new vehicles, players will rely less on their mech for space travel, shifting the focus to more versatile, customizable options for exploration and construction.

What to Expect in 2025

Upcoming updates for Dyson Sphere Program will introduce modular space vehicles and space stations, expanded language support for the German, French, and Japanese languages, and smaller combat enhancements like full turret control for defense grids. Youthcat Studio is also looking to feature additional collaborations with other titles down the line.

Shapez 2

Shapez 2, the highly addictive yet soothing factory simulator from tobspr Games, challenges players to use unlimited resources and machinery to craft, modify, paint, and stack intricate shapes to fulfill increasingly complex orders from the mysterious Vortex.

During the Gamera Games Showcase at TGS 2024, a detailed trailer unveiled exciting new details about Shapez 2. The trailer showcased the game’s current state in early access, introduced a special Supporter Edition, and teased upcoming content and game modes, building anticipation for what's next in this popular series.

Shapez 2 Supporter Edition Revealed

Following Shapez 2's early access launch in mid-August, tobspr Games has introduced a brand-new Supporter Edition, allowing fans to further the game’s development during its early access phase.

The Supporter Edition offers a range of exclusive perks, including fresh cosmetic options for the game’s iconic Space Trains, 80 minutes of brand-new in-game music, and access to the full official soundtrack on Steam.

What to Expect in 2025

While the full early access development roadmap for Shapez 2 remains under wraps, creator Tobias has confirmed that future updates will bring even more content and game modes to the table. In addition to the four game modes currently available, players can look forward to fresh gameplay experiences and exciting new challenges as the game continues to evolve during its early access journey.

Lost & Found Co.

Lost & Found Co. is an upcoming hidden object game from Bit Egg Inc. that puts a quirky spin on the genre. Players take on the role of a duck-turned-human, helping the forgotten Goddess Mei run her new Lost & Found startup company.

Presented by Bit Egg Inc.’s game director, Natachanan Lumpikanon (or Nat, for short), Lost & Found Co. aims to build affection for everyday objects, featuring over a thousand unique items and characters to discover. With a revamped art style, countless pop-culture references, and its charming premise, the game is shaping up to be a hidden indie gem.

A free demo for Lost & Found Co. is currently available on Steam, while the game’s full release is set for Q1 2025.
