Tekken 8 Combos and Moves Broken Following Big Update

Devs are Currently Working on the Issue, Another Fix Will Be Rolled Out

The patch update intended to prevent certain moves from missing inadvertently and address wall physics has broken previously functional combos — not good for a fighting game. Players quickly voiced their concerns, prompting developers to acknowledge the issue.

In a tweet today from the official Tekken Twitter (X) account, Bandai Namco stated, "We are currently working on addressing these two issues and a patch will be released to fix them soon."

The problems stemmed from the recent Update 1.03.01 patch. The patch introduced adjustments to collision detection between characters and walls aimed, but inadvertently disrupted character combos.

Players reported various issues, including malfunctioning stage triggers, tornado moves near walls, and issues with Rage Arts. Additionally, Zafina's animations led to decreased backdash effectiveness, which compromised her defensive capabilities.
