Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League unveils a fresh and drastic change to the design of Poison Ivy. Read here to learn more about Ivy’s new look and her role in the game.
Major Poison Ivy Design Change
Ivy is a Child
Rocksteady Studios recently released the second episode of their Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Insider YouTube series. In addition to new weapon customization, Episode 2 featured supporting cast members like the Penguin and, most prominently, Poison Ivy, whose appearance has undergone a significant design change from previous Arkham games.
The second episode reveals a section of the game where the Suicide Squad tracks down Poison Ivy in Metropolis. Poison Ivy, who now goes by Ivy, is portrayed to be a child, unlike in the Arkham series where she was a full-grown adult. Ivy's hair is still red like in the Batman Arkham games, but her skin tone is now a shade of gold rather than green, as it was in her previous incarnation.
Arkham Knight Teased Ivy Rebirth
Although Ivy doesn’t remember Harley, her pheromones do, which causes "strange emotions." A Rocksteady developer explains "for fans who paid close attention to Arkham Knight, they'll remember that when Poison Ivy died, she left behind a little sprout." He confirms that in this game, the squad "discover that the sproutling has been cared for by people who have their own motivations for doing so, but in the chaos of Metropolis she's escaped."
Ivy’s Role in Suicide Squad
For this new title, Ivy is referred to as a child with "terrifying genetic engineering powers." After being used by Lex Luthor to create weapons against the invaders, Ivy escapes and lends aid to the Suicide Squad. She is "skilled at creating biological toxins that can aid players applying elemental afflictions to their melee weapons and grenades."
