Stellar Blade Demo Releases March 29 at 7 AM PDT
"Surprise" for Players Who Complete the First Stage
Stellar Blade Director Hyung Tae Kim recently announced on the PlayStation.blog that Stellar Blade is going officially release a demo this March 29 on the PS5. The demo was accidentally released on March 8, 2024, but was immediately taken down on the PS Store.
In just a few days, fans can play the demo which "takes place from the very beginning of the game when Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad, is sent to Earth on a mission to reclaim the planet from the Naytiba, up to the first boss fight."
In the first stage, players will embark on a tutorial phase designed to help and familiarize them with basic combat features. As players traverse the post-war city of Eidos 7, now overrun by the Naytiba, they’ll gain an early understanding of gameplay mechanics crucial for navigating the rest of the game's story.
"We also have a little surprise included for players who complete the first stage," says Kim.
Stellar Blade Demo Features
Although we aren’t sure yet what exactly the surprise is, here are some features that fans can expect in the demo. The game will run "smoothly at 60 fps" even in combat, and through the haptic feedback of the DualSense wireless controller, players will feel the various "charms" of the game that they can "only confidently appreciate through hands-on experience."
Furthermore, those who play the demo stage will have the opportunity to transfer their saved data to the full game upon its release on April 26, beginning from the last checkpoint reached. Additionally, the demo will offer voice-over language selections in "Korean, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Latin Spanish," with text available in:
