Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut on PC is automatically being refunded for players who do not have access to PSN in their country. Read on to understand the reasons behind this situation and to discover Steam Support's response to Helldivers 2 remaining delisted in certain countries.
Ghost of Tsushima Steam Pre-Orders are Getting Auto-Refunded for PSN-Less Countries
Steam, Sony, and Sucker Punch have yet to Address This
A now-deleted Reddit post by r/ENDrain93 on the Ghost of Tsushima subreddit revealed that Steam automatically refunded their pre-order of the game. Steam cited the reason as, "You are receiving a refund for a game you pre-purchased - Ghost of Tsushima. The publisher of this game is now requiring a secondary account to play portions of this game - and this account cannot be created from your country."
Many players in countries without access to PSN are reportedly facing similar issues not only on Steam but also on Green Man Gaming and Epic Games Store. Complaints have flooded the game's subreddit and various social media platforms from players who pre-ordered the game only to have their orders canceled.
Just a few days ago, Ghost of Tsushima developer Sucker Punch confirmed that Steam players were not required to sign up for PSN if they only wanted to play the Director's Cut's single-player campaign on Steam. However, as of now, Sony, Steam, Sucker Punch, and other game stores have not made any announcements regarding this matter, leaving fans puzzled.
Sony is Apparently to Blame for Helldivers 2 Delisting

While the reasons behind Ghost of Tsushima's delisting in countries without PSN access remain unclear, Helldivers 2, a Sony game initially demanding a PSN account, faced delisting in nations without PSN support. Despite Sony's adjustment following backlash, the game remains inaccessible in regions lacking PlayStation services. A recent Reddit post on the Helldivers subreddit suggests Sony's accountability for this issue.
As per the screenshot shared by the user, Steam Support clarified that the game's absence in specific regions results from the publisher's decision, not from Steam's actions. Steam Support also stated their lack of knowledge regarding the game's reinstatement timeline and suggested reaching out to the publisher for further information.
Johan Pilestedt, CEO of Arrowhead, acknowledged Sony's initial blockade, but the current restrictions appear to be under Valve's control. Pilestedt expressed optimism about resolving the matter promptly and restoring global access to Helldivers 2.
