Ghost of Tsushima PC Doesn’t Require a PSN Account to play Single-Player
PSN Account is Required Only for Legends Online Multiplayer Mode
Sucker Punch Productions, the developer studio behind Ghost of Tsushima, recently took to Twitter(X) to clarify a query regarding the game's PC launch. Although the specific question is now hidden, the user inquired about the necessity of a PSN account to play the game. Sucker Punch responded, stating that a PSN account is required for the "Legends online multiplayer mode" and the usage of the "PlayStation overlay," but not for the "single-player game."
This query arose in light of recent controversies surrounding Sony's decision to mandate PlayStation Network logins for Helldivers 2 on Steam, prompting concerns about similar requirements for Ghost of Tsushima. However, there's been recent confirmation that Helldivers 2 will not proceed with linking PSN accounts to PC, and it's uncertain how this decision will impact Ghost of Tsushima.
