Stalker 2 Achieved Impressive Sales in Just a Short Period

Stalker 2 Devs Deeply Thankful for its Strong Initial Sales

The Zone has never been this busy with STALKER 2’s high number of players. The devs GSC Game World proudly announced that the game sold 1 million copies in a span of two days on Steam and their social media platforms!

Released last November 20, 2024, STALKER 2 captured the hearts of many players as the game welcomed them to the heart of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, where they must fight and survive against hostile NPCs and mutated creatures. The 1 million sold copies milestone represents the total sales from both Steam and Xbox Series X|S platforms. However, more are joining the hunt, with stalkers subscribed to Xbox Game Pass.

Though the devs did not disclose the number of Game Pass players for STALKER 2, the actual player count should be higher than its reported sales figure. With this astounding achievement, the devs expressed gratitude to the STALKER 2 players. “This is just the start of our unforgettable adventure,” the devs said. “With gratitude as deep as the X-labs network, we want to say: Thank You, stalkers!”

Devs Asked Players to Report Bugs

Despite STALKER 2’s strong initial sales, the game is not immune to bugs and other issues. On November 21, the devs asked for the player’s support in improving the game, stating "We are constantly improving the game with hotfixes and patches, but to find the ‘anomalies’ to fix, we need your help."

The devs created a website for players who experienced bugs or wanted to share feedback to Stalker 2. "If you encounter strange behavior, a bug, a crash, or are unsure whether the game is working as intended, please leave a request for Technical Support, sharing all the details about your case, on the special website we’ve prepared."

In this case, players can head to its Technical Support assistance webpage to report a specific issue, share some feedback, or even request new features. Meanwhile, players can also visit the game’s Technical Support Hub main page to check out FAQs and some troubleshooting guides.

The devs also recommended players avoid reporting bugs on STALKER 2’s Steam page. "Please, refer to this website as your first source for help with technical issues. If you create the topic on the Steam Forum - there are fewer chances that it will be reviewed."

First Post-Release Patch Coming This Week

After gathering enough feedback from players, the devs announced the upcoming first patch for STALKER 2 on its Steam page on November 24. "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is getting a first patch during the week to come — both on PC and Xbox," they shared.

According to their Steam post, the patch addresses issues such as crashes, main quest progression blocks, and others. The update will also improve gameplay and conduct balance adjustments to improve overall player experience, including fixing weapon prices. They also noted that the analog stick and A-Life systems will be addressed in future updates.

The post concludes with a heartfelt message to players. "We want to reassure you once more that we will make every effort to constantly improve your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl experience," the devs asserted. "We are truly grateful for your feedback and suggestions for improvement."
