Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds All Characters
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds brings together characters from the Sonic universe and across Sega’s library of games, all speeding towards the finish line—and perhaps spreading mayhem along the way.
This new entry follows in the tire tracks of 2012’s Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, which featured 24 racers, including stars from other Sega franchises like AiAi (Super Monkey Ball), B.D. Joe (Crazy Taxi), and even the Football Manager from the Football Manager series. Given this, it’s easy to imagine some familiar faces making a comeback—or perhaps some bold new picks from Sega’s other divisions. We could maybe see Shiva from Streets of Rage, Ichiban Kasuga from the Like a Dragon series, or even Jack Frost from Shin Megami Tensei.
At the time of writing, Sega has confirmed that the game will launch with a roster of 23 characters, with even more set to join the race post-launch. Check out the initial lineup below!

A Sonic game wouldn’t be one without the Blue Blur himself. With his speed, Sonic is no stranger to the racetrack. His racing career began in Sonic Drift (1994) and its sequel, Sonic Drift 2 (1995), before he blazed onto the track in Sonic R (1997).
The 2000s saw Sonic swapping sneakers for hoverboards in Sonic Riders (2006), Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity (2008), and Sonic Free Riders (2010). He also starred in the action-racing duology Sonic Rivals (2006) and Sonic Rivals 2 (2007) on the PSP. More recently, he’s been at the forefront of kart-style racers, including Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (2010), Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed (2012), Team Sonic Racing (2019), and the upcoming Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (2025) in his signature kart, Speedster Lightning. |

He returned to the track in Sonic R, and later hit the skies in Sonic Riders, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, and Sonic Free Riders. Tails also competed in Sonic Rivals 2 for the PSP and raced alongside Sega all-stars in Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed and Team Sonic Racing. He's set to race again in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, behind the wheel of his Whirlwind Sport. |

The guardian of the Master Emerald himself only started racing alongside Sonic in Sonic Drift 2, but he quickly returned for more in Sonic R, where his gliding abilities gave him an edge against the rest. Knuckles also carved his path through the Sonic Riders and Sonic Rivals series before hitting the kart circuit in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, and Team Sonic Racing. He returns in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds with his signature car, the Land Breaker. |

Amy Rose’s bubbly charm first graced the race course in Sonic Drift and Sonic Drift 2, where she proved she could keep up with the boys on the track. She returned in Sonic R, zipping through courses in her speedy convertible.
Amy mastered the skies and Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, and Sonic Free Riders. More recently, Amy hit the starting line in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, and Team Sonic Racing. She is set to race again on her Pink Cabriolet in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. |

The Ultimate Life Form himself first brought his no-nonsense attitude in 2006’s Sonic Riders. He returned in the aforementioned game’s sequels, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity and Sonic Free Riders. Shadow also hit the tracks in Sonic Rivals and Sonic Rivals 2. He later showcased his driving skills in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, and Team Sonic Racing. Eggman also showed off his skills in the Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity and Sonic Free Riders. He didn’t stop there, however. Eggman also raced in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Team Sonic Racing. He is set to return in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, on top of possibly a new "Egg" automobile. |

E-123 Omega may not have as much experience as his peers when it comes to racing, but he is still a force to be reckoned with on the racetrack. He races once more on his Cross Dozer in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. |

He then showcased his skills on an Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity and Sonic Free Riders. He is set to appear in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on his signature vehicle, the Lightron. |

Big the Cat may not have the speed of Sonic, but he’s no slouch when it comes to racing—especially if there’s fishing involved. While not typically a front-runner in races, Big joined the action in titles like Sonic Heroes, where he helped out as part of the Team Rose trio. His racing career, however, began in Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, where he took the track with his motorcycle, the Green Hopper. Though he didn’t return for 2012’s Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, he did ride once again with his Frog Cruiser in Team Sonic Racing and its mobile counterpart Sonic Racing. He rides a vehicle that resembles the Frog Cruiser in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. |

Rogue the Bat is a treasure hunter who has proven herself on the racetrack time and time again. She made her Extreme Gear debut in Sonic Riders and subsequently competed in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity and Sonic Free Riders. She has also fought and raced her way to victory in Sonic Rivals 2. While she has only taken the wheel in games like Team Sonic Racing and its mobile counterpart Sonic Racing, she’s set to return to the track in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. |

Vector the Crocodile may not be the fastest character in the Sonic universe, but he’s got the brains and brawn to back him up. As the leader of Chaotix Detective Agency, Vector is no stranger to action. Not only does he have experience racing due to his appearance in Sonic Free Riders, but he has also appeared behind the wheel in Team Sonic Racing and the mobile game Sonic Racing. He will return in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds aboard his signature vehicle, the Beat Monster. |

He's also appeared as a playable character in several games, including the Sonic Rivals series, Sonic Free Riders, Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, and Team Sonic Racing. He returns to the track in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, driving the Formula M. |

Egg Pawns are most commonly seen as robotic enemies in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, but they will be making their comeback as playable characters in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. They have, however, been seen behind the wheel in Team Sonic Racing, though only as a non-playable character. |

Zavok is the leader of the Deadly Six. Though he isn't as synonymous with racing as Sonic, he's no stranger to the racetrack. After first appearing in Sonic Lost World (2013), he has since been a formidable foe for Sonic, even in Team Sonic Racing and its mobile counterpart, Sonic Racing. He returns, perhaps aboard the Red Dragoon, in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. |
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Tracks
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will see Sonic and his friends competing across 24 main courses. Throughout these races, players can activate Travel Rings—special portals that transport them to 15 distinct CrossWorlds.
