Slight Difficulty Reduction in Early Game Bosses

Hollow Knight: Silksong will have its first post-launch patch soon, focusing on slight difficulty reduction in early game bosses and other adjustments. In a post on Silksong’s general discussions section on its Steam page on September 9, developer Team Cherry announced that the game will have an upcoming post-release patch and shared patch notes that detailed what fans can expect with the update.
According to Team Cherry, this patch will primarily focus on "bug fixes, with some slight balance adjustments in the early game." More specifically, there will be a slight reduction in the early game bosses, such as Moorwing and Sister Splinter.
Since the game’s release, fans have expressed concerns about its difficulty. Several posts on Hollow Knight’s Reddit page revolved around this topic, with many stating that Silksong is much harder than the original Hollow Knight.

There are numerous experiences that players have with Silksong that led them to conclude that it is much more difficult than its predecessor. These reasons include higher damage from enemies, misplaced benches, longer runbacks, and overall difficulty spikes in bosses, particularly with early ones like Sister Splinter.
These issues were also mentioned on several of Silksong’s Steam Japanese (JP) reviews, which led to the game having "Mixed" reviews for the JP language. Despite this, Silksong still has "Mostly Positive" reviews on Steam overall, having 76% of over 130,000 reviews being positive.

Rosary Beads Rewards and Pricing Adjustments

Aside from the adjustments for Silksong’s bosses, the game will also have some changes for its in-game currency, Rosary Beads. This was a hot topic within the community since the game’s release, with most players complaining about the ease of destruction and scarcity of the beads.
Based on the patch notes, fixes about the Rosary Beads include "slight reduction in mid-game Bellway and Bell Bench prices," "slight increase in rosary rewards from relics and psalm cylinders," and "increase in rosary rewards for courier deliveries."

While the issues regarding the beads’ physics and placements have yet to be addressed, Team Cherry noted that those concerns may be included in the game’s second patch. Additionally, temporary fixes and solutions for other problems can be found at Silksong’s FAQs page.
With Team Cherry’s announcement, fans are glad that their concerns will be addressed in the upcoming patch. Players can expect the update to drop around mid next week, with no specific release date provided.
