Schedule I’s TVGS is now expanding to a game studio, with fans expecting more content from the developer of the hit underworld crime simulator. Read on to find out more about the upsizing, ETA for highly requested features, and the upcoming major update.
Schedule I Developer Update
TVGS Gets a Studio and a Developer

Schedule I shared a new developer update, with TVGS (Tyler’s Video Game Studio) now expanding its operations to an office based in Sydney and a new developer named Rob, according to a new post on Steam. The developer shared that he is in the process of recruiting more, starting with a 3D technical artist, and aims to have four people working on Schedule I by the end of 2026.
Celebrating his achievement with pictures of his newly moved-in office, most fans congratulated the developer for expanding his one-man indie studio. Others didn’t waste any time requesting TVGS for console ports and translations in light of the upsizing.

The developer already expressed his willingness to port Schedule I to consoles in a Reddit post back in March 2025, provided that platform holders Sony and Microsoft give him approval. The task wouldn’t be difficult either, according to TVGS, as Schedule I’s game engine (Unity) allows him to switch to a different console easily, with only the controller support and optimization left to fix.
However, he stated that he realistically can only work on these ports once the game leaves Early Access on Steam, given the time-consuming task of testing and releasing updates on three platforms.

As for translation, work on it would also happen only after the full release, according to the FAQ channel in the game’s Discord server. The game currently only has English as a language option, and with many non-native English speakers playing, there is considerable demand for localization in other languages that TVGS’s smaller capacity can handle.
With a new developer on TVGS and more on the way, Schedule I is likely to deliver more consistent updates, though it is still unrealistic to believe that all requests from the fans will be addressed. Moreover, even with the expansion of "Tyler’s Video Game Studio" into a two-man studio, it seems that the developer isn’t using it as a way to rush development, as the upcoming teased major update is still within the usual release schedule.
Next Major Update by Late February

After getting the new developer on track, TVGS plans to begin work on Schedule I’s next major update. For now, they have decided to keep its contents and the specific release date under wraps, but it’s estimated that work will be completed by late February.
Previous Schedule I major content updates, such as the v0.4.0 Rival Cartel and the v0.4.2 Shrooms, were all decided upon via a community vote held in-game. Given that TVGS opted to keep what’s coming a secret, it’s unclear if a third poll will be held for the February major update at the moment.

With that said, provided that it is going to be a major content update, there are three choices left over from the two community polls that are good candidates for what’s being worked on:
● Police Expansion
● Hireable Drivers
● Fishing Mini-game
Peeking over the publicly available Schedule I Roadmap on Trello, features listed in the developer’s monthly update ideas are related to these candidates, such as police interaction/bribery, raids, evidence rooms, hireable drivers and logistic workers, fishing, and more. Other features listed in the roadmap include map expansions to the north-east and south-west, parkour, property customization, weather, and even a shooting range minigame.
Proper Mod Support and Bug Fixes

Before they can sink their teeth into this major update, TVGS shared that they will be working on releasing a patch focused on bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. Following that, they will be cleaning up and refactoring Schedule I’s codebase, a step they believe is necessary for proper mod support in the future.
No word has been given on what’s being fixed in the next minor patch update, but eager fans can expect it to be the first among many of the work TVGS will be serving this 2026.
