February 15

⚫︎ Pokémon Pokopia's content stretches beyond its 20-40 hour story campaign, says chief director Takuto Edagawa. He further elaborates that there will be more content to experience after the credits roll, similar to its sandbox simulation contemporaries.

In a separate interview with VG, Shigeru Ohmori reflected on how the project’s foundations trace back to his early work on the 2002 Game Boy Advance titles, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, where he designed 2D maps and the grassy areas where Pokémon would appear.

⚫︎ A playable demo of the cozy life-sim Pokémon Pokopia will be available at the Pokémon European International Championships (EUIC) in London this weekend. Attendees can try the game from February 13–15 before its official launch on March 5, 2026.

Besides offering a glimpse into Pokopia, the 2026 EUIC will be hosting competitive tournaments across multiple Pokémon titles, including the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE.

Both forms have features that are drastically different from those of their species. Peakychu dons a grayish-white coat emanating with an ethereal glow, as well as droopy ears. Mosslax is completely covered in moss, its hands buried underneath, and a singular flower growing from its head.

Other Pokémon variants include ones for Tangrowth and Smeargle, who are named Professor Tangrowth and Smearguru, respectively.

⚫︎ Pokémon Pokopia was announced during the Nintendo Direct September 2025. The monster-taming franchise takes a new approach to the series, taking beloved Pokémon to a new life-simulation adventure.
