The English Dub is Finally Coming!
The official Pokemon Twitter(x) account recently posted that Pokémon Horizons: The Series will now premiere on Netflix on March 7, 2024, "just a short time later than previously announced." Originally scheduled for February 23, the series is now gearing up for its premiere with the official English dub version which was previously exclusive to the UK.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series premiered in Japan last year, April 2023 with a one-hour special for its first episode. As of the creation of this article, the series currently has 35 episodes, although it is unclear whether Netflix will release all episodes upon launch. Additionally, there is no information on whether other language options beyond the English dub will be available.
Pokémon Horizons Follows New Protagonists
Pokémon Horizons: The Series is the follow-up anime to Pokémon Journeys: The Series, the show that saw the end of Ash Ketchum’s 25-year adventure. The series follows two new protagonists, Liko and Roy, as they embark on an all-new adventure in the vast world of Pokémon.
Liko, a shy awkward girl studying at Indigo Academy, is on a quest to enhance her skills as a Pokémon Trainer, accompanied by her partner Pokémon, Sprigatito, and her mysterious pendant given by her grandma. She sets out on an adventure with the Rising Volt Tacklers, a group that Friede and Captain Pikachu guide.
The team sails through the skies on an airship to unravel the secrets of the Pokémon world. Later, Liko is joined by Roy, another aspiring Pokémon Trainer, who travels with Fuecoco as his partner Pokémon and a mysterious unique Pokéball.
