Taking Place on Taiwan and Los Angeles
Pokémon GO fans can immerse themselves in the Unova region with the latest in-person event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, taking place from February 21-23, 2025. This exciting event draws inspiration from the lore of Pokémon Black Version, Pokémon White Version, Pokémon Black Version 2, and Pokémon White Version 2. It will be hosted in two iconic locations: Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl Stadium and New Taipei’s Metropolitan Park.
Each location is divided into themed habitats such as Winter Caverns, Spring Soiree, Summer Vacations, and Autumn Masquerade, each featuring a variety of Pokémon native to the Unova region. Trainers will also have the chance to catch different variants of shiny Deerling, depending on the habitat and time of day.
Ticket-holding trainers can encounter Shiny Meloetta through Masterwork Research in both New Taipei City and Los Angeles. They may also hatch Shiny variants of Sigilyph, Bouffalant, and others. Lucky trainers could even encounter shiny Pikachu wearing unique headwear via Field Research.
Legendary Pokémon Reshiram and Zekrom, the flagship Pokémon of the Black & White series, will appear as Five-Star Raid bosses. Three-Star Raids will feature Druddigon, while Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott will be available in One-Star Raids—all with increased chances of shiny variants.
Tickets for this event are currently available at a discounted rate for a limited time. In Los Angeles, California, tickets cost $25 USD, while in New Taipei, they are priced at $630 NT. Attendees can further enhance their experience by purchasing various ticket add-ons, each offering unique bonuses, like additional 5,000 XP after completing a raid.
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., according to the local time zones (US - PST and Taiwan - GMT+8). Additionally, various booths and team lounges will be available, offering exclusive merchandise and providing a space to relax after a day filled with capturing, battling, and hatching Pokémon.
For those unable to attend this exclusive in-person event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global will take place on March 1-2, giving all trainers the opportunity to explore the Unova region for free.
Pokemon GO City Safari Launching This December 2024
Another event, Pokémon GO City Safari, is set to launch on December 7-8, just over a week from now. This citywide adventure will take place in Hong Kong and São Paulo, Brazil, running from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. During the event, ticket-holding trainers will join Professor Willow and Eevee in uncovering the mystery behind Pokémon.
Trainers will receive a special Eevee wearing an explorer hat at the start of the event. Evolving this Eevee into forms like Sylveon or Jolteon requires 25 Eevee candy, and the evolutions will retain the same hat. By participating in the Eevee Explorers Expedition, trainers can earn an additional Eevee wearing the explorer hat, for a total of two.
Special Pokémon will appear in the wild during the event, including Galarian Slowpoke, Unown P, Clamperl, and more. Additionally, some Pokémon can only be found through hatching eggs, such as Oricorio (Pom-Pom Style and Sensu Style), Swablu, and Skiddo. Even more unique Pokémon can be encountered depending on the event location.
To help trainers explore Hong Kong or São Paulo, maps will be provided, and participants will receive a Pikachu or Eevee visor to protect them from the sun. However, these items are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets for Pokémon GO City Safari are available for R$45 in São Paulo and $10 USD in Hong Kong. Trainers can also purchase ticket add-ons for additional items and an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémons.
