Palworld Community Manager Bucky Encourages Players Not to Fall for "Garbo Bait"

Palworld’s Global Community Manager Bucky calls on players to stop responding to hate posts, as it "doesn’t matter." Read on to learn more about what's going on!

Hate Posts Are Not Worth The Time

Numbers Show Over 100,000 Users

Pocketpair’s Global Community Manager Bucky has taken to Twitter (X), asking Palworld gamers to "stop getting baited into player number arguments" on social media platforms. While it warms his heart that the loyal player base will stand up for their beloved game, most of those posts negatively talking about the game" are intentionally doing this, using the "rage baiting" tactic to farm engagement through riling up netizens with hate.

"Those posts are pure engagement bait. 99% of them are basically just NPCs desperate for a post to “do numbers” and the other 1% is just the media doing what media do […] It doesn’t matter." Bucky posted. "Palworld could have literally 1 person playing it and that won’t take away from the fact that YOU played a fun game and have fun memories of it."

Palworld released its first major update titled Sakurajima last June 27, reviving interest in the game once again. While it’s not reaching the massive numbers it reached in the past during its initial release, Palworld is still a favorite among many, with tens of thousands of players still logging into the enjoyable monster-catching survival game. But great popularity comes with a price—posts on Reddit, Twitter, and Discord contain posts ridiculing the game’s lower player count and calling it a "dead game." But Bucky would like to remind people that, in the end, it’s all about whether you, the player, enjoyed the game.

"Don’t let this constant gamer culture of dragging every game down, bickering, arguing, faux console war nonsensical garbo bait you into giving up even a second of your day," he argued. "Play whatever games you want, don’t play whatever games you want. If you like it, great! If you don’t like, move on. […] It doesn’t need to be any more complicated than that." Bucky concluded.

Plenty Of New Content For Players To Try

The creature-collector survival adventure game that took the world by storm, Palworld, has just made its comeback with a brand new major update! Version 0.3.1 introduces a whole new island to the world, the Japanese-inspired Sakurajima. The island is run by the new faction, The Moonflowers, and they’re up to no good—save the beautiful isle from their clutches by taking control of the tower away from them. And of course, with a new area comes new species of Pals! Try to catch them all.

Other notable gameplay improvements are the addition of a multiplayer battle area, increased level cap to 55, the introduction of Pal Skins, and a new Raid! A number of QOL (Quality of Life) adjustments have also been made, such as a more intuitive building system with new buildings and materials, increased Pal Box capacity, and various bug fixes.

With so much in store, Palworld is ready to welcome both new and returning users back into its open world.
