MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Development Updates
Delayed to Early 2026
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, the retro Mickey Mouse-inspired first-person shooter, has been delayed to 2026. In a post on the game’s official Twitter (X) account on October 22, developer Fumi Games and publisher PlaySide released a joint statement regarding the current status of the game’s development.
The 1930s-style cartoon shooter was expected to appear at the Galaxies Gaming Showcase on October 23 for its release date announcement. However, Fumi Games and PlaySide decided to postpone their appearance and give fans a heads-up to avoid further disappointments.
They stated, "Ahead of the reveal, we wanted to let you know that we have made the decision to move the launch of Mouse: P.I. For Hire from 2025 to early 2026." The team did not pinpoint a particular reason for the delay, but noted that it will help ensure the game reaches everyone’s expectations.

Fans said that the studio doesn’t need to apologize for the delay and will continue to wait patiently for its eventual release. Others who attended the recent TwitchCon stated that they enjoyed the game's preview and could not wait for it to be available in 2026.
