The video culminated with the reveal of pre-order bonuses and various editions, sparking excitement across the community.

Arkveld Flagship Monster and Scarlet Forest Showcased

Among the biggest reveals from Monster Hunter Wilds’ September 2024 State of Play presentation was the official naming of its flagship monster: the Arkveld, ominously dubbed "The White Wraith" by hunters in the trailer. Following in the titanic footsteps of iconic beasts like Monster Hunter Rise’s Magnamalo and Monster Hunter World’s Nergigante, Arkveld takes center stage as the face of the newest installment and the center of its expanding narrative.

The Arkveld, with its stone-like hide, barbed, whip-like wings, and maw full of teeth, certainly stole the spotlight in Monster Hunter Wilds’ latest trailer, but that’s not all Capcom had in store. The trailer also gave fans a stunning look at the Scarlet Forest, one of the game’s dynamic new environments, which served as the setting for much of the action.

The Scarlet Forest, with its ever-changing landscape, promises to be a unique challenge for players. According to Capcom, it will cycle through three phases: "Fallow, Inclemency, and Plenty." Each phase was highlighted cinematically in the trailer, showing the forest's transformation—from the red waters rising during Fallow, to the torrential downpours of Inclemency, and the lush bloom of flora and fauna during the Plenty phase.

The presentation wasn’t just about the release date—it offered a deeper dive into what Monster Hunter Wilds has in store, showcasing not only massive hunts but also the dynamic gameplay that will set this installment apart. February 2025 can’t come soon enough!
