Minecraft shadow-dropped a Dragon Ball Z fighting game DLC. Read on to learn more about what’s included in the collab and freebies players can get for a limited time only.

Minecraft Dragon Ball Z Fighting Game DLC Out Now

1v1, 5v5, and Co-Op Modes

Minecraft just shadow-dropped a Dragon Ball Z (DBZ) fighting game DLC, which includes 1v1, 5v5, and co-op modes. As announced on Minecraft’s official website on November 4, the DLC is now available on PC, consoles, and mobile devices for 1510 Minecoins or approximately $8.99.

The collab was initially teased during Minecraft Live 2025 in late September, where developer Mojang announced that the DBZ DLC is "coming soon," with no release date specified. Alongside the announcement in the event, they also gave a free Super Saiyan hairstyle, available to redeem only until November 4.

Minecraft DBZ DLC Fighting Screen

The DLC features 11 fully playable characters, each with their own unique moveset and special attacks. These fighters include Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Frieza, Trunks, Krillin, Android 18, Cell, Android 17, and Majin Buu.

All of them can be unlocked once players defeat them in tournaments, which take place in various iconic DBZ locations, such as Planet Namek and the Cell Games Arena. Aside from these areas, players can also explore the Hyperbolic Time Chamber or hang out with Bulma in the Capsule Corporation.

Furthermore, official screenshots of the DLC showcased encounters with Great Ape Vegeta, Shenron, and the collection of the 7 Dragon Balls. "Join Goku, Vegeta, and all their friends and foes in a hard-hitting adventure that will test your mettle, allow you to strike down villains, and see if you can go over mine-thousand," the description reads.

17 Skins and Free Scouter

Minecraft DBZ DLC Shenron

The DBZ experience extends outside of the DLC, as players can continue to wear their Saiyan pride on their own Minecraft worlds. The DBZ DLC includes 17 skins, which include all of the 11 fighters, Bulma, and other characters.

Additionally, players can claim a Scouter Character Creator item, which is free until December 4, 2025, at 10 AM PT. After the time is up, the cosmetic will be available for purchase at the Minecraft marketplace.

Minecraft is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices (iOS and Android), and PC. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below.
