Dynasty Warriors 25th Anniversary Producer Talk

The program began with host Haruka Mori introducing Kihiro Suzuki, IP Producer of the DYNASTY WARRIORS series, and Tomohiko Sho, Head of ω-Force. They first discussed the origins of the Musou games, tracing a timeline that began in 2000 as they looked back on the series and continued the discussion up to the present day, in celebration of Dynasty Warriors’ 25th anniversary as a way to reflect on its history.
They then continued the segment by answering various questions from fans, such as whether there were plans to remaster other titles. Suzuki and Sho shared that they would really want to do it if there was the budget to do so, since games cost a lot of money to rebuild. They were also asked about any plans to implement character creation in the next installment. While they were considering it, they responded that they’d have to think about it carefully.
The 25th Anniversary segment concluded with messages from Suzuki and Sho, who thanked everyone for their continued support of the series, even after more than two decades had passed. They shared that Origins brought in a wide audience back to the game, both long-time fans and first-time Musou gamers, and that the game’s legacy would continue to thrive.

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake Special Live Broadcast

The director of Fatal Frame took the stage to reflect on the series’ legacy, tracing its beginnings back to 2001. Fatal Frame 2 in particular was well-received, and a lot of people wanted a remake, but since it was a game made over 20 years ago, it took quite a bit of effort to bring the project to life.
They showed a back to back comparison of an early scene in the game, showcasing the original PS2 version first then the scene from the upcoming remake. The new graphics are able to showcase the twins’ and ghosts’ expressions more, owing to modern systems with the Koei Tecmo engine, enhanced sound design with support for 7.1.4 channels, and refined atmospheric effects to further capture the unsettling tone of the original.
Combat has also been reworked, introducing new focus and zoom filters that change player perspectives during encounters. A new hand-holding mechanic has been added as well, emphasizing the connection and bond between the twin protagonists. Beyond the narrative touch, it might also change the game flow as holding hands may reduce panic and help players navigate tense areas. At the same time, it might introduce a new risk, where if one sister is attacked, both might be vulnerable, making positioning and timing critical (??? speculation stuff). This mechanic reinforces the tension of survival.
A merchandise set containing narrative stories,, such as a prequel, another ending, and two short stories, will be produced and released in the future. There has yet to be any other concrete details posted, but they have assured more announcements will be made in the future.
Nioh 3 TGS Special Live Broadcast

The Nioh 3 livestream was hosted by producer Kohei Shibata, director Hayato Shibuya, comedy duo Sayaka and MC Haruka Mori. The program began with an introduction to the game’s setting and new systems, before talking about official merchandise during the TGS, tied to the game.
Nioh 3 is introduced as the latest installment in the series, featuring an Open Field x Sengoku Death Game with its action-filled combat set in the Sengoku period where monsters roam freely, and players fight battles to the death with a variety of weapons, stances, and skills against demons and warlords.
One of Nioh 3’s newest features is the addition of the Ninja combat playstyle, which allows for a more stealthy and assassin-type of gameplay. However, the classic Samurai style gameplay is still readily available for players to try, paired with Nioh 3’s ability to instantly swap between combat styles with ease.

During the livestream, comedy duo Sayaka dove into a gameplay segment to give fans a look at Nioh 3 in action. They highlighted the real-time combat, showcasing just how tough boss encounters can be.
To help players survive these brutal battles, they shared some tips. They recommended leaning into the unique characteristics of both samurai and ninja styles. Players were also told to land powerful counter attacks. Lastly, players were encouraged to fight with weapons that best match their playstyle, whether it’s with a sword, odachi, or spear.
After the Sayaka duo had their turn, director Shibuya took the helm in putting their tips to use. For one thing, Shibuya revealed that players are able to regain some strength through hidden hot spring baths, such as the one shown on the livestream before facing the area boss. He switched between Samurai and Ninja styles mid-battle, hoping to keep the damage output steady. However, even when armed with the tips and tricks, the boss proved to be a formidable opponent and wiped Shibuya off the floor more than twice.
