HoYoVerse Responds To Fan Feedback On Honkai Star Rail Version 3.0
Future Updates On Amphoreus Story and Exploration
Honkai: Star Rail (HSR) developers HoYoVerse addressed the feedback they received from fans following the launch of Honkai Star Rail version 3.0 early in January. HSR posted on HoYoLab on February 5, 2025 a special edition of their Developer Radio, and explained their plans for resolving the issues fans have raised.
The feedback contained issues and concerns regarding the experience of fans engaging with the story and exploration of the game. The developers reassured fans "We will be making adjustments and optimizations to address these issues with the aim of bringing Trailblazers a smoother journey experience."
Fans pointed out that the content for HSR 3.0 had excessive lore exposition in the new region Amphoreus, and complex puzzle-solving required to finish side quests. HoYoVerse plans to update future versions of the game to include an option to skip content so that players may experience the story in a more relaxed manner.
Furthermore, the team is working on a more streamlined approach to missions and removing disruptive narrative elements such as black screens with white text. The main story's puzzles are also being redesigned, offering a more direct solution for some puzzles.
The developers will improve the player experience in the main storyline by optimizing the lengthy and complex map paths and reducing the overly dense enemy placement that often disrupts the flow of exploration of players.
Additionally, other concerns regarding older characters being unable to keep up with the current meta are going to be addressed, with plans for them getting buffed in future updates. They will also add richer combat gameplay and challenging goals for the game. HoYoVerse expects the following adjustments to take effect on Version 3.2 of the game.
