Helldivers 2 Limited-Time Event Comes With Major Orders and Seasonal Features
Players Can Access Limited Stratagems and Toss Snowballs from Dec 18-31
Helldivers 2 has launched the Festival of Reckoning, a limited-time in-game event running from December 18 to December 31. The event introduces celebratory, time-limited Major Orders that temporarily grant access to special celebration stratagems for all players. In-game alerts will notify players which celebratory Major Order is currently active and which event stratagems are available to use for free during the event.

Helldivers 2, developed by Arrowhead Studios, is a cooperative third-person shooter where players team up to liberate hostile planets from various enemy factions, coordinating their efforts with Major Orders and Stratagems. Major Orders are time-limited, community-wide objectives that reward all players who contribute, while Stratagems are deployable abilities and weapons that can turn the tide of battle.
Several experimental stratagems are available as part of the Festival of Reckoning, including a 120MM EMS projectile that stuns enemies, a Gatling Barrage that fires incendiary rounds, and a modified Walking Barrage that deploys smoke as it advances. The Festival of Reckoning also adds a light seasonal touch, allowing players to toss snowballs during missions.
Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 Warbond Comes Back For Good
The Festival of Reckoning also coincides with the return of the Helldivers 2 × Killzone crossover as a permanent Legendary Warbond, with new items added to the package. Warbonds are permanent sets of equipment in the game that can be purchased and gradually unlocked by progressing through their tiers.
This Warbond collaboration can be purchased for 1,500 Super Credits, but players who previously purchased collaboration items in 2024 will get the entire set for free.
