Hades is Getting a Mobile Port via Netflix Games
The God-Like Rogue-Like Release Exclusively for Apple Devices With Netflix Subscriptions
In Netflix’s official "Geeked Week 2023" Hades was announced to be released through the app for the iPhone and the iPad. The weeklong event shows off exclusive news and sneak peeks from movies, shows, and games. The showcase had just finished discussing the Devil May Cry, a game that was getting an animated series adaptation when footage and logos of Hades appeared during the showcase. This led to many fans initially believing that Netflix was also making a fully animated series for Hades. Fans’ hopes for the adaptation were immediately dashed when the presenters stated that Hades would be coming to iOS through the Netflix app.
Supergiant Games, the developers behind Hades, promises that the port will be "a faithful translation of our game, featuring all the responsive action and surprises available on other platforms." The port is being developed by an external game studio Secret 6, who has contributed to Triple-A franchises including The Last of Us and Uncharted. The port is slated to become available sometime in 2024.
The game will require iOS 16 or later and will have cloud saves and achievements. Only mobile devices with iOS can play Netflix games, as Apple TVs cannot due to Apple’s App Store Policies. Due to technical constraints, cross-saves between existing versions of Hades on other platforms cannot be supported. Speaking of other platforms, there are no additional plans for Hades to be ported to Android devices as well.

Hades II Early Access Release Might Coincide With Mobile Port
With the news that the port will be released in 2024, there is reason to believe it might do so around the early access release of Hades II. News of the highly anticipated sequel has been scarce since its announcement back in December 2022, but Supergiant Games shared a development update back in September 2023, promising that development has been moving steadily and that they will release in early access around Q2 2024, around April to June.
