Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has dropped tantalizing hints for a new Borderlands game and stated in a recent interview "I don't think I've done a good enough job of hiding the fact that we're working on something … And I think people that love Borderlands are going to be very excited about what we're working on."
Pitchford continued, "An announcement about the next game could happen before the end of the year" Pitchford continued. "I have the biggest and best team that I’ve ever had working on what we know is exactly what our fans want from us – so I’m very, very thrilled. I can’t wait to talk about it! I wish I could just gush right now because we’ve got so much to say!"
While specific details remain scarce, Pitchford's playful hints have set the stage for what could be an exciting new game announcement. The Gearbox CEO also said that they are working on "big things" and multiple projects were in development at the studio.
