Dune: Awakening Welcomes You To An Alternate Dune Reality
Dune: Awakening made an appearance during the Future Game Show FGS Live in LA segment, where Creative Director Joel Bylos introduced the game and explained its alternate timeline that made the whole world go haywire. With the absence of Paul Atreides from this alternate universe, the land of Arrakis enters a new age, and a new set of challenges awaits the players, who are tasked to find out what happened to the Fremen, said to be fully extinct. You are the player, the protagonist of the story.
Set to release to the public on June 10th, Dune: Awakening is available in Advanced Access now for PC and will release at a later date for consoles.

After losing their job to AI, the player character receives "lDateviators," magical glasses that transform everyday household objects into fully voice-acted and dateable humanoids! You can date literally everything, with a roster of 100 "dateables,ranging from a washing machine to a fridge. A big plus is that these characters are voiced by some of the best in the voice acting industry like Matt Mercer, Laura Bailey, Troy Baker, and much, much more.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster Releases June 26, 2025
Nightdive Studios’ System Shock 2 is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a remaster of the critically acclaimed 1999 sci-fi horror action RPG! This remaster will include a fully revamped co-op multiplayer mode with cross-platform play for up to four players. This means that players can now relive the good ol’ days as Von Braun, who must now fight against hordes of mutants and the merciless AI, SHODAN.
The remaster will launch with full mod support on PC, including the integration of community-made missions, this June 26!
Mafia: The Old Country Launches on August 8
Mafia: The Old Country returns to the franchise's Sicilian roots with a story emphasizing family loyalty and sacrifice. The new footage featured at the Future Games Show gives fans a glimpse of a pivotal moment in protagonist Enzo’s story.

Directive 8020 Releases October 2, 2025!
From the creators of Until Dawn, Supermassive Games returns with Directive 8020—a sci-fi horror survival game driven by branching narrative paths shaped by player choice. With multiple endings and hidden routes, each decision impacts the story’s direction and the fate of its characters.
Set aboard the colony ship Cassiopeia, the story follows astronaut Young, who journeys to the distant system of Tau Ceti F in search of humanity’s future. But after a catastrophic crash landing, the crew discovers they are not alone. A deadly alien threat lurks within the ship’s shadowy corridors—an entity capable of mimicking humans, hunting them from within.

Hell is Us Featured TWICE During Future Games Show 2025
Rogue Factor’s Hell is Us made a notable impression at the Future Games Show 2025, as it was featured not once but twice. It is a third-person action-adventure game set in the war-torn country of Hadea, which has also been ravaged by a calamity that gave rise to supernatural creatures.
Its eschewal of modern gaming conveniences appears to be deliberate. You get no maps, compasses, or any modern quest markers as you explore the world. All you’ll get is your intuition, a personal journal, and your will to explore.
The game releases on September 4, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Its demo, though, was released earlier this month. You can check out our thoughts on its demo in our review below!
SCUM Launches on Steam on June 17
SCUM is a hardcore survival simulation that takes place on a 225-square-kilometer island where up to 64 players compete as maximum-security prisoners in a televised survival event monitored by TEC1 corporation. After seven years of development and 258 updates, the 1.0 update will be released with a complete map rework, major graphical improvements and performance optimizations.
Players navigate dense forests, abandoned towns, airfields, beaches, and rural areas while managing complex survival mechanics including detailed metabolism, injury systems, and realistic resource requirements.
The game supports both solo survival and squad-based cooperation against environmental hazards, undead prisoners, colossal mechs, and hostile players. SCUM emphasizes uncompromising realism with no assistance systems, requiring players to master survival through skill development and strategic planning.
SCUM exits Steam Early Access on June 17, 2025.

Titan Quest 2 Early Access Coming to Steam This Summer
Titan Quest 2 is an action role-playing game set in ancient Greece. The game positions players as a hero tasked with confronting Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution, whose corruption of the Threads of Fate threatens to condemn mortals to eternal suffering.
As detailed by the developers, the game will have a flexible character progression system. Instead of rigid classes, players will create their own hero by combining two Masteries together, which are essentially skill trees. Combat happens in real-time and appears to be a modernized iteration of the classic top-down ARPG formula.
According to the developers, Titan Quest 2 will not have microtransactions; its post-launch content, however, will be delivered through traditional DLC packs. An Early Access is scheduled to launch sometime this summer, with full releases planned for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S soon after.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream Brings Players to 1900s Scandinavia This July 15
Eriksolm: The Stolen Dream is a narrative stealth isometric game developed by River End Games and published by Nordcurrent Labs. In the Nordic-Inspired city of Eriksholm in the early 1900s, Hanna is searching for her missing brother, Herman, whose disappearance triggers a chain of catastrophic events.
As an isometric game, it will feature a 3D top-down perspective. During which, players will primarily control Hanna, but the experience evolves to include two other characters, Alva and Sebastian. Each character has their own specialty. For instance, Hanna can crawl through vents, while Alva can climb drainpipes, and Sebastian can swim.
It’s also a narrative-heavy game, however, so eager players better watch out, as this game releases this July 15 for PC (via Steam and Epic Games), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Moros Protocol Releases Fall 2025 on Steam
Moros Protocol is a sci-fi roguelite first-person shooter developed by Pixel Reign. Here, players awaken with no allies and must adapt their loadout and strategy on the fly. They have no memory and only a mysterious voice as guidance. Levels are procedurally generated, so each run presents new layouts and challenges. Death is not the end, though, as players can upgrade abilities and learn from previous attempts. If the game becomes too difficult, it has a drop-in co-op feature, so friends can tackle the horrors of The Orpheus together.
The game releases sometime this fall 2025 on Steam, with a demo expected this June as part of Steam Next Fest.

Crisol: Theater of Idols is a Bloody Game for Fans of Bioshock and Resident Evil
Blumhouse Games shared a peek at Crisoul: Theater of Idols, a first-person horror and action-adventure game developed by Vermila Studios. One look, and it’s obvious that this is a very bloody game. Blood is both a weapon and a resource. As Gabriel, players will use their own blood as ammunition against statues of saints and other creatures that inhabit Tormentosa. However, every attack drains Gabriel’s life force, so players must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice to progress.
The game is currently in development, but it will be available on PC (via Steam) and PlayStation consoles.
Tenet of the Spark is Coming to Both PC and Consoles!
Tenet of the Spark is an upcoming third-person action-adventure game confirmed for release on both PC and consoles. While the developers have not yet announced an official release date, the game is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
The game’s core mechanic allows players to seamlessly shift between three timelines — the modern day, the Viking Age, and the Aztec world — to gain an advantage in combat, solve environmental puzzles, and uncover secrets scattered across each era. Players step into the role of Will, a protagonist who wields the mysterious Spark, granting him the ability to perceive and interact with the world through the lens of different timelines.
Each version of Will brings a unique combat style and set of abilities: the modern-day Will is a nimble boxer focused on speed, the Viking persona wields a powerful hammer with brute strength, and the Aztec version uses a boomerang to strike enemies and manipulate the environment. Mastering when and how to switch between these timelines is essential to overcoming both enemies and intricate challenges throughout the game’s richly detailed settings.

While full details about the gameplay and story remain under wraps, REACH is described as a first-person parkour shooter where players wield a bow and arrow to navigate fast-paced environments with style and agility. Hela’s showcase at Future Games Show may have been cut short due to some technical issues during the stream, but don’t count this one out yet. Hela’s protagonist may just be a small mouse equipped with a frog-shaped backpack, but this brave mouse is ready to explore Scandinavian-inspired lands to solve puzzles and be a force for good!
It doesn’t have to travel solo, though, as players can play with a friend via local split-screen or online, so they can all take on the perils together when it releases soon on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

Ahoy Kickstarter Funding Starts Today
Capstan Games has just announced Ahoy, an immersive naval adventure game set in the late 18th-century Caribbean, during the Age of Sail. Ahoy appears to be a very ambitious title, as not only is it going to have naval warfare and some trade and crew management mechanics, it is also expected to be a multiplayer open world game where players can craft their own narratives. Players can expect to sail the seas with friends to crew ships, with, according to their Kickstarter page, the potential for up to ten players per ship on larger vessels.
The game’s Kickstarter page recently went live, and, at the time of writing, they have just reached almost 40% of their $108,223 goal!

Mini Motorways is launching a new Creative Mode on August 26 for Apple Arcade, Steam, and Nintendo Switch! This update completely reimagines the gameplay, giving players full freedom to redesign their cities on every map.
In Creative Mode, you can recolor, move, and pivot houses and destinations, allowing for ultimate customization. Build your perfect city by arranging buildings around trees and mountains, customize colors from vibrant palettes, and take advantage of more upgrades than ever before. This mode offers a fresh, creative way to experience Mini Motorways like never before.
House Flipper Scooby Doo Meddles Its Way Onto PC and Consoles This Scoobtober
House Flipper 2 will get a spooky DLC this October, featuring Scooby-Doo and the gang at Mystery Inc.! The DLC will introduce six new "haunted" houses, each designed with references to monsters or episodes from the aforementioned series. Players will have to clean, paint, furnish, and repair them. But there’s a twist. For instance, tasks like picking up garbage or scrubbing footprints will serve as clues for players to piece together an overarching mystery that connects all the new locations.
It will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S sometime this "Scoobtober."

The schedule for Future Games Show 2025 can be found on their official website front and center. It will be part of Summer Game Fest’s lineup of events and will go live on Jun 7, 2025 at 4:00 PM EST and is expected to last for up to three hours.
The event will be hosted by Laura Bailey and Matthew Mercer, the voice actors for Kainé from Nier and Leon from Resident Evil 6, and will feature over 40 titles ranging from AAA announcements to indie gems. It will then be followed by FGS Live from Los Angeles, a bonus broadcast that will feature 20-odd more games, world premiers, interviews, and other insightful content.
