The highly anticipated Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, set to release on June 21, packs in new additions to the game, including a slew of new bosses along with a game difficulty adjusting feature.

10 New Bosses, Progression System, and Difficulty Modifier
Publisher Bandai Namco confirmed that Shadow of the Erdtree will introduce ten new bosses to the game. As typical with FromSoftware's titles, beating all the new bosses in the DLC will not be a prerequisite to completing the main quest. Currently, however, it is unclear which of the additional bosses are skippable, as well as which boss encounters occur once.
Additionally, arriving in the game is a new feature—the Shadow Realm Blessing, accessible through the Guidance of Grace menu, which serves as a progression system that allows players to use the new powers coming with the DLC. The Shadow Realm Blessing also serves as a difficulty adjusting feature.
File Size is Reportedly 16.502 GB
The DLC introduces an entirely new region called the Land of Shadow, described as more intricate and expansive than the original game map. Reports suggest that the DLC area will be roughly the size of the first accessible area of the game, Limgrave, if not larger. Dense, legacy dungeon areas and open fields are expected to expand the grand scale of Elden Ring.
According to @PlaystationSize, Shadow of the Erdtree will require 16.502 GB of storage space and will be available for pre-load on June 19.
"How dense this map is, and the ratio of legacy dungeon to open field areas, and how they intertwine. This is something we wanted to explore anew in the DLC: In terms of recapturing that sense of scale but in a slightly different way with a slightly different granularity," Miyazaki previously explained.
