Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO Announces Star Studded ‘Sword’ and ‘Fist’ Characters!
Featuring Fan Favorite Characters Such as…Mr. Satan and Yajirobe!
Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO surprised fans once more with their newest "Sword vs Fists" trailer which featured popular characters from the series famous for their sword-wielding capabilities and their fist-based martial arts prowess!
The Dragon Ball Series has had a long history with its martial arts, whether it be purely striking with fists, or with the most unconventional weapons such as Goku’s Power Pole! But not straying too far from oddity, the most conventional weapon of all are swords, and the franchise has had sword-wielders aplenty over its numerous decades worth of story, so it’s no surprise that there’s a whole trailer’s worth of sword characters in Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO!
Taking center stage for Team Sword is undeniably the first occurrence of a sword-wielder in the series– Yajirobe! The plus-sized samurai has been a staple of the series since the original Dragon Ball manga, and plenty of fans rejoiced at his inclusion for the upcoming game!
Other fan favorites were also shown to be joining the fray! First would be fan-favorite Super Vegito, who briefly wielded a sword during their fight against Majin-Buu. Next up is Future Trunks (Super), who summons a mighty broad-blue sword made of everyone’s spirit energy to vanquish their nemesis, Fused Zamasu! Speaking of Fused Zamasu, their one half, Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rosé), who switches between a sword and scythe made out of evil pink energy, rounds out the most prominent Sword Fighters!
As cool swords are, nothing beats an old-fashioned beating with bare hands! In Team Fist, the most adored inclusion is none other than the former World Martial Arts champion, the Hero of Earth, the vanquisher of Cell, the savior who rallied everyone against the evil Majin Buu, and The Champion of the Universe, Mr. Satan! The developers need not add any more fighters after the revered Hercule, as they will all now pale in comparison to his raw power and charisma.
Other noteworthy additions for the fistfighters are: Jiren, who hails as the strongest from Universe 11 that took Goku, Frieza, and Android 17 working together to bring him down; Goku in his imperfect Ultra Instinct -Sign- form that he unlocked after fighting the aforementioned Jiren the first time; and… Spopovich…who is infamous for his…very very brutal beating against Mr. Satan’s daughter, Videl… Okay who invited THAT guy?
