The Divinity series is being linked to the mysterious TGA 2025 statue, but Larian Studios denies Original Sin 3 speculations. Read on to learn more about the series’ connection to the statue and Larian Studios’ comments on the sequel rumors.
Divinity New Title Speculations
Linked To TGA 2025 Statue
The Divinity series is currently being linked to the mysterious The Game Awards 2025 (TGA) statue after trademark images surfaced online. As posted on the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) website, three new trademarked logos relating to the series were filed, and one particular logo closely resembled the TGA 2025 statue.
Fans quickly speculated that the "regal inspiring thickness" figure teased by TGA organizer Geoff Keighley is somewhat related to the Divinity series. It is not out of the question that the statue is indeed connected to the Divinity franchise, especially since Original Sin II has seen some activity for the past year with its "PS5 Pro Enhanced" tag and age ratings for current-gen consoles.
Moreover, the new, trademarked Divinity logo is distinctly different from previous logos, leading fans to believe the speculated upcoming Divinity title could be a new project entirely, rather than a re-release. Many are theorizing that the new title could be a sequel to the Original Sin series.
Currently No Plans For Divinity: Original Sin 3
However, despite the community having made several connections and theories, Larian Studios Director of Publishing Michael Douse dispelled speculation about Original Sin 3. Replying to a fan on Twitter (X) who asked when the Original Sin sequel could drop, Douse stated that "There aren't currently any plans for a new Divinity Original Sin 3."
This is in line with Larian Studios Founder Swen Vicke’s previous statement regarding a possible sequel to the Original Sin series. In a 2024 interview with IGN, he neither confirmed nor denied that the next franchise title would be Original Sin 3, stating only that it would be "different than what you think it is," yet "still familiar."

Although Original Sin 3 might be off the books for now, fans continued to speculate that a new Divinity title could still be on the way. Beyond the prequel series, the Divinity franchise has five mainline games and expansions: Divine Divinity, Beyond Divinity, Divinity II: Ego Draconis, Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance, and Divinity: Dragon Commander.
This is also accentuated by the fact that Vicke previously stated that the studio is moving on from the Baldur’s Gate series, opening the opportunity for them to return to the Divinity franchise.
Nevertheless, the recent trademarks and cryptic teasers fuel speculation that a major Divinity series announcement will occur at TGA 2025, making the awards show a "can't miss" for fans of the franchise. To know more about The Game Awards 2025, check out our article below.
