Borderlands 4 Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned Launches in March
Featuring Ellie and a New Vault Hunter

Borderlands 4 is set to release its first major post-launch story expansion, Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned, in March 2026. At the forefront is a new map area filled with main story missions and side quests that expand the game’s narrative while providing opportunities for loot and challenges.
The expansion’s dark, ominous atmosphere is highlighted in the teaser trailer, which is narrated by Mancubus Bloodtooth, a returning character from Borderlands 3. While his role in the story remains unclear, his presence adds a familiar voice to the upcoming story pack.
Players will also gain access to the new Vault Hunter, C4SH, a former casino dealer bot turned drifter. His gameplay focuses on chance, risk, and reward, offering players fresh ways to approach combat.

Like other Vault Hunters, C4SH comes equipped with three unique Action Skills, allowing for different playstyles, though the specific names and effects of these abilities have not yet been revealed by Gearbox.
In addition to new missions and story content, the DLC introduces a variety of cosmetic and gear options for players to customize their Vault Hunter. This includes four new Vault Hunter heads and styles, four weapon skins, two vehicle skins, and a suite of ECHO-4 drone skins, attachments, and a new frame.
Bounty Pack 2 Releasing on February 26, Introducing Pearlescent Rarity

Before the story expansion arrives, players can jump into Bounty Pack 2: Legend of the Stone Demon, launching on February 26, 2026. This DLC adds new missions and challenges for both solo and cooperative play, while also introducing a new area, a boss, and the Pearlescent rarity tier to Borderlands 4.
While Pearlescent gear itself will be available to all players through the update, some specific Pearlescent items are exclusive to Bounty Pack 2, giving owners of the pack access to unique rewards.
Borderlands 4 is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. For more information about the game, check out our link below!
