⚫︎ While fans expected DLC or a sequel to Black Myth: Wukong, CEO Feng Ji explained in a Weibo post that the team chose to “start from scratch” with new heroes, gameplay, visuals, and technology rather than expand on the existing game.
Feng admitted that Wukong’s tale is not over, noting on Zhong Kui’s official site that the Monkey King’s “westward journey won’t end here.” Whether through DLC or a full sequel, he promised Wukong will return “in a more complete and solid form” once the team is ready.

⚫︎ Game Science CEO Feng Ji has confirmed that the story of Black Myth: Wukong is not finished, despite development now shifting toward Black Myth: Zhong Kui. According to Feng, the studio is starting fresh with Zhong Kui’s tale but intends to revisit Sun Wukong in the future. Whether this will take the form of an expansion or a full sequel has not yet been clarified.
