Black Beacon has just announced its end-of-service on its official X account, 7 months after its global release. According to its post, development of the game beyond its 1.3 version update will cease due to operational difficulties introduced by its global service, which launched this year on April 10.
The game's servers will remain operational until they permanently shut down on December 31, 2025, by 8 PM (PT) / 11 PM (ET). You can check out the timetable below to find the exact time for the server shutdown in your region:

What Led to the Closure?
Black Beacon’s developer, MINGZHOU Technology, cited operational difficulties as the reason behind discontinuing the game after the 1.3 version update. The publisher of the global version, Glohow, decided to then terminate the service and will be unable to provide future updates and technical support.
In response to this closure, the community lamented Black Beacon’s potential as a concept and avenue for storytelling, but expected the announcement given the multiple delays of the global version 1.3 update and banner reruns.
Other players expressed their dissatisfaction with how the game had been managed since its launch, pointing to buggy updates, localization issues, and unfair compensation rewards in the global version as the reason for its decline in playerbase.
Regardless, Black Beacon garnered a dedicated following that is sad and disappointed to see a game with potential go too soon. Some continue to hold out hope for the release of an offline version, while others decided to enjoy it while the servers last.
Refunds for Unused Rune Stones
Black Beacon will give out refunds for players with unused paid "Rune Stones" after the maintenance on October 17, 2025, until December 26, 2025. The publisher advised players to not spend additional Rune Stones after submitting their application to avoid miscalculation and ensure that the refund is processed on schedule.
Players are then instructed to prepare their UID, CS Code, amount of unused Rune Stones in possession, payment platform (Google/iOS), payment receipt, and payment email. These will be submitted as a request via a Google Form posted by the publisher
Once submitted, the request will undergo review and processing. The publisher urged players to wait as processing times may vary in length.
Other purchased in-app items, such as the battle pass "Pure Energy Bonus" will be active until their indicated expiration date. Pure Energy Bonus is a source of upgrade materials, rare weapons, Spherical Fruits, and more, and runs until the end of the month.
Special Gift Distribution and Appreciation
As a token of the developer's appreciation for their support, Black Beacon players will receive daily support items via the in-game mailbox until November 30, 2025. After this, the support items will then be provided weekly every Monday, from December 1, 2025, until December 31, 2025. The support items consist of the following:
● Rune Shard x1000
● Spherical fruits - Large x2
"It is only thanks to the love and support from all of you that we were able to begin this journey," concluded the developers. "While the story of Black Beacon was brief, the moments we shared will be cherished forever."
