Armored Core 6 DLC might just be in development as FromSoftware posts a rather telling job listing. Read on to learn more about the job post, and why it may hint at more Armored Core 6 content!
FromSoftware Job Listing Needs Character Modeler For Robots
Armored Core Is FromSoftware’s Only Mecha-Themed Series
FromSoftware’s seemingly normal job listing turns heads as Armored Core fans point out that the job’s emphasis on modeling and texturing for robots hint at more content for Armored Core franchise. As noted on the Tech4gamers forum, FromSoftware posted a job listing for a Character Modeler on their official recruitment hub. The responsibilities detailed on the job post highlights "modeling and texturing characters or robots" as well as rigging, animations, and creating game events, and interested applicants must have experience in 3D work and rendering.
While a job listing such as this should be nothing out of the ordinary as the game industry is always growing, FromSoftware’s library of games only has one game with a robot theme—Armored Core. And FromSoftware themselves have a history of releasing DLC expansions for most of their recent games, such as the most recent hit, Shadow of the Erdtree for Elden Ring—a DLC for Armored Core does not seem so far fetched. Fans of the franchise are elated by the news, saying "Great news. More AC!!!" and "God I hope so, this franchise deserves more."
But that isn’t the only theory out there—others have chimed in saying that FromSoftware may be hiring for a whole new robot-themed series that isn’t Armored Core, and other more optimistic hopefuls are wishing for an Armored Core 6.5, which would be akin to a full-on sequel like For Answer and Verdict Day than just a DLC.
As of writing, there has been no official confirmation or teaser from FromSoftware as to what the future is for Armored Core, so fans will need to keep their fingers crossed!
