ARC Raiders shared more details about an object called the "Assessor" in a March 30 post on X (Twitter), describing it as sitting above the treeline, appearing non-aggressive, and remaining well-protected. The post comes just ahead of the game’s Flashpoint update on March 31, which will introduce a new ARC threat and additional gameplay features.
The Assessor appears to remain stationary and is described as larger than a probe, suggesting it is bigger than typical ARC devices encountered during raids. Further details regarding its function have not yet been confirmed, though its name and the post saying it shows "no clear signs of aggression" may suggest a role tied to observation or evaluation.
The same object also appears in a 27-second Flashpoint teaser released on March 28, where the shop NPC Celeste, a leading figure of underground settlement Speranza, is shown observing it and questioning what it is.
Reactions to the post on X have been mixed, with some players speculating that the object may contain something such as loot or rewards, while a number of replies called for more substantial updates, including new maps, modes, and overall improvements, reflecting ongoing frustration with the game’s current content offering.
Flashpoint Update Details
Releasing on March 31, Flashpoint will introduce a new ARC threat or enemy, alongside a map condition that changes how players see and navigate during raids, while also adding a player project that gives players new objectives to complete and rewards to earn across runs.
The update will also include changes to Scrappy, the in-game companion that helps collect materials during runs. It will be followed by Riven Tides in April, which is expected to bring a new map, a larger ARC enemy, and a new Expedition window as part of the game’s ongoing content rollout.
ARC Raiders is a PvPvE extraction shooter where players, known as Raiders, venture into dangerous zones to gather resources while facing both enemy machines and other players.
