⚫︎ A new expansion for Age of Mythology, called teh Heavenly Spear was confirmed. The expansion is set in Japan and will bring with it a new campaign, new powers, and new Gods. The Heavenly Spear expansion will be released on September 30, 2025. The owners of the Premium Edition of the game however, will receive the DLC upon launch.

⚫︎ The official Age of Mythology account revealed the Yamata no Orochi, a legendary eight-headed giant sepert from Japanese folklore, as part of the upcoming Heavenly Spear expansion.
Described to be covered in blue-black scales, eight blood-red eyes, eight heads, and a rampaging tail, few beings were told to rival the grandeur of the colossal serpent.

⚫︎ The official Age of Mythology account has unveiled the Raijū, a legendary yōkai from Japanese folklore, as part of the upcoming Heavenly Spear expansion. Described as a “thunder beast,” the Raijū takes the form of a wolf wreathed in lightning, with claws powerful enough to scorch trees. In-game, it wields abilities to summon lightning, stun enemies, and is even said to ride thunderbolts into battle.

⚫︎ Age of Mythology: Retold will expand this fall with Heavenly Spear, a new chapter introducing the Japanese Pantheon. Announced via the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, the update features a 12-mission campaign set across mythic Japanese-inspired landscapes.
Players will command new heroes, face mythical yokai, and gain access to 12 new gods as they battle the powerful Kagemasa to restore balance to the world.

⚫︎ Age of Mythology: Retold – Immortal Pillars, the game's first expansion, is now available on Steam, Microsoft Store, Xbox, and PlayStation 5. The expansion introduces a new Chinese pantheon, allowing players to command divine powers, lead mythical creatures, and explore detailed landscapes inspired by Chinese mythology.
