Crimson Desert Reveals Map Twice The Size of Skyrim’s in Exclusive Interview

Image

Crimson Desert developer Will Powers from Pearl Abyss answers the fans’ burning questions in an exclusive interview. Powers reveals that players can fight and fly on dragons, while also clarifying that at this point, they are "not confirming whether or not there’s dragon relations".

It was also revealed that the game is approximately twice the size of Skyrim, and larger than the map of Red Dead Redemption 2—"numbers don’t really do it justice", as they are more intent on filling the world with activities for players to do. Powers goes on to say that their goal is to create unique experiences for different people through the wide variety of side quests and interactions in the world, as its open-world is " made to be interactive." An integral part of the main quest and in learning more about the mysteries of the world of Pywen is the Aerial Abyss, story-relevant sky islands filled with puzzles and rewards for completing them.

Crimson Desert is set to launch on March 19, 2026, for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

They also go into detail that the game was inspired by Pathfinder Second Edition’s "battle-tested" combat system, using three actions per turn. IMMORTAL: Gates of Pyre Aims to be the "Next Generation" of RTS Games

Image

IMMORTAL: Gates of Pyre is a "modernized" take on real-time strategy (RTS) games by Sunspear Games Inc. Dubbed as a "Blizzard-style" RTS, IMMORTAL: Gates of Pyre is said to retain the fast-paced tactical combat found in the subset of the genre.

Sunspear Games’ Admin Director, Ian Hunt goes into detail about the information they gathered from the RTS and MOBA crowd, emphasizing the importance of focusing on the enjoyment derived from the power fantasy of controlling entire armies, which he argues is the very essence of RTS games. Rather than inundating players with so many "chores," Gates of Pyre will classify certain decisions as "opt-in" features, stripping down unnecessary complexity commonly injected in microdecisions and raising individual units, all while challenging players with complex gameplay.

IMMORTAL: Gates of Pyre will be available for PC in the future. In the meantime, interested players can now wishlist the game on Steam.

UK-based indie developer Titan Roc introduced Forsaken Realms: Vahrin’s Call through a deep dive segment. Forsaken Realms: Vahrin’s Call is an upcoming action-adventure RPG that takes place in the medieval fantasy world of the Forsaken Realms, where players will take on the role of a nameless mercenary with endless potential to become the hero of Vahrin.

The segment takes players to various locations in the Forsaken Realms, specifically the land of Leyda, a place split between darkness and light. Players start off as a lone mercenary who makes their way to the vale of Vahrin, "a city on the brink of collapse." As the mercenary, it’s up to players to take on various quests found in the overworld, assisting a colorful cast of characters and subsequently uncovering the secrets that haunt the land.

Forsaken Realms: Vahrin’s Call will be released for PC via Steam at an undefined date, with a planned release for consoles to follow.

Outward 2 Expands on Immersion and Daily Life

Stat Increase

Outward 2 developer team Nine Dots Studio gives more information on the game and how the upcoming fantasy adventure ARPG provides different environments for players to explore or try in the world of Aurai. Now with more available customization options in comparison to their first Outward title, they hope that their community is given more freedom to be creative and immersed in their playthroughs.

The developers also mentioned incorporating a calendar and weather system, where one can live out a day-to-day experience. The game supports both online and split‑screen co‑op, letting friends explore together or tackle Aurai solo. As the dev team further progresses in polishing the game, they expect to better streamline the flow of game mechanics to continue to provide players with unique experiences.

The game emphasizes preparation and resource management, rewarding those with careful planning as they embark on their adventure. Survival also extends beyond combat, with gear, inventory, and provisions affecting every journey.

Outward is currently available for wishlist on PC via Steam. The game is set to release in Q3 of 2026 with no exact confirmed release date at this time.
