All Online Features are Now Unavailable
The Open Beta phase of MultiVersus has ended as Player First Games prepares for MultiVersus' official launch in 2024. On June 23, the official MultiVersus Twitter account sent a tweet informing users that the Open Beta will cease on June 25, 2023, at 5 PM PT and that all online modes and features would be temporarily suspended. However, gamers will still be able to experience the unlockable content for offline play.
Players Can Play Offline Until the Launch
All online modes and features will be unavailable. However, players will still have limited offline access to the training room known as the Lab and the option to engage in local matches. These offline features allow players to fine-tune their skills and enjoy friendly competition with friends and family.
To further enhance the offline experience during this downtime, all characters and cosmetic items will be temporarily unlocked. As a result, even without an internet connection, players can explore and experiment with various character creation options. It's a fantastic opportunity to delve into the game's mechanics and appreciate the vast array of characters.
However, it's worth mentioning that profile icons and badges will not be accessible during this offline period. These cosmetics will resume their availability once MultiVersus officially launches in 2024.
Inventory Before June 25 Gets Carried Over To The Official Launch
Once MultiVersus launches in 2024, players can rest assured that their account inventory will return to its state before June 25. Any progress made and content earned during the Open Beta phase will carry over to the official launch, allowing players to continue their journey seamlessly.
However, it's important to note that any progress or content earned after June 25 will not carry over to the MultiVersus launch. Therefore, players are encouraged to make the most of the remaining time until game launch to enjoy the fully unlocked items and characters until the game officially launches.
