Resident Evil 4 Remake Tops March 2023 Sales Charts
Consumer Spending Declines
According to Circana (formerly known as NPD Group), US video game consumer spending on video game content, hardware, and accessories declined compared to a year ago. The ease of restriction for Covid-19 shows that consumers could pursue activities other than gaming, but that does not mean it will stop.
Since it is the biggest game release of March, Resident Evil 4 Remake topped the charts, besting Hogwarts Legacy, which currently dominated overall 2023 sales.
This March sales chart below is from Circana's analyst, Mat Piscatella, which includes the physical and full game digital from platforms like Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, STEAM, and Xbox, as well as digital sales data.

RE4 Overtaking Dead Space For Overall Game Sales of March 2023
For the overall Best-Selling Premium Games category, Resident Evil 4 Remake and MLB: The Show 23 rose against Dead Space, earning the 3rd and 4th place, respectively.
Hogwarts Legacy remains the best-selling premium game of the year, but Resident Evil 4 Remake is a great competitor for sales for this year as it has improved and refined the game since its initial release.
