Speculated Connection With Breath Of The Wild

In a tweet, Nintendo released artwork for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom characters to promote the game's release on May 12. The game is coming out soon, but fans will still find more clues about the plot of the newest Zelda game.
Ganon - Gerudo King

Nintendo released an official art of the Gerudo King which may have fans discuss theories on what he might do in Tears of the Kingdom. One central idea referenced the necklace and headpiece he was wearing.
He had a tear on his headpiece and 6 other dangling pieces that could house gems or other tears. While this is merely speculation, if he would collect the tears, it may have a deep connection on how they will bring in the Triforce that did not precisely appear to be used in Breath of the Wild. Seeing that tears are central to the Tears of the Kingdom it may also wield great power comparative to the Triforce.
This ginger Ganon has been looking buff and hydrated since the last official trailer, and he will be big trouble (as always) for Link in Tears of the Kingdom.
Riju - Young Gerudo Chief

Link had to meet Riju, a young Gerudo chief in Breath of the Wild. Link had to reclaim the Divine Beast that Riju's mother, Urbosa, was tasked to pilot before Hyrule's ruin 100 years ago.
Now all grown up, she appears to be wielding two scimitars instead of a sword and shield like her mother. In the final trailer, she seemed to have an amber tear in her earring. With this, we can speculate that the Gerudo tribe had a tear like Ganon, but where did he get his? Did it come to them through their power or a representation of their clan?
We also did not see Riju's loyal Sand Seal, Patricia, in the trailers.
Tulin - Rito Skilled Archer

So far, Tulin gives off a bright, count-on-me countenance, who will fight alongside Link as seen in the trailers. Son of the warrior, Teba, Tulin also had his sense of being a warrior within him.
Unlike the first few characters, he does not seem to own a tear but is seen closely helping Link glide to the skies.
Sidon - The Zora Prince

Sidon is still making fans lovestruck, and we're relieved he is back with minimal changes. His official artwork had him wield a trident, just like his sister. Despite his official artwork not showing, he has a blue tear on his hand and a crown on his head, as seen in the trailer.
This might mean that his father, the king is incapable of leading the kingdom or just abdicated the throne because he had seen Sidon ready to lead their kingdom. Regardless, Sidon is back in action and willing to help Link.
Goron

Now, Goron people DID appear in the trailer alongside Link, but they didn't get a character artwork, leaving the fans speculating that maybe they needed help before they could be counted as Link's companions. Perhaps their Death Mountain is in the midst of the chaos that they can't assist Link yet.
There are still many questions as to where the tears come from. Who was the person talking to Zelda in the trailer? Is this person the one who gave Zelda the glowing yellow tear? Either way, we will find out once Tears of the Kingdom comes out on May 12.
