Redditor suckashelfboi101 submitted an image of Basim holding a cat whose fur uncannily resembled the Assassin's Creed emblem on the Assassin's Creed subreddit, where it was discovered. They asked for the opinions of other fans, wondering if it was a purposeful wink from Ubisoft or just a coincidence.
The community agreed that the markings were too suspiciously similar to the assassin's order's emblem to be a random coincidence. Treviso, a subreddit moderator, said that Ubisoft chose the cat's distinctive pattern on purpose. Even more moving was the discovery that it was a tribute to a fan's cat, whose owner had commented on an Assassin's Creed post to request that their beloved pet be included in the game.
Alanna Sas uploaded a screenshot of the cat on Facebook, with the furry AC logo decorating its cute snout.
