Fate/Samurai Remnant Unveils Exclusive Test Play Event at Tokyo Game Show 2023

During the Fate/Samurai Remnant livestream, it was announced that an exclusive Test Play event was slated to take place at the Koei Tecmo booth during the Tokyo Game Show 2023. This Japan-first event promises an immersive experience, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the enthralling world of Fate/Samurai Remnant via specially built in-store exhibits.
Players will have the rare opportunity to try their hand with two distinct game modes: "Blundering Through the Flowerbed", the first part of the story with Iori and Saber, and "Hell’s Fire" where you can challenge and fight a powerful enemy. This demo will give players a taste of what's to come in this highly anticipated release. Choose carefully, though, as only one can be selected to play.
Special Prizes Await Lucky Participants
A special commemorative badge featuring the 7 teams awarded at random will be given to participants in the Test Play event as an added reward. The event's mystery will undoubtedly be the secret badge that will be randomly given.
Fans can get together and share their passion for the game during the event. Everyone may participate in enjoyable activities and even have a chance to win special rewards. Players who do not receive the desired badge can buy it at the merchandise station.
Gameplay Showcase Details
Both demos "Blundering Through the Flowerbed" for Iori and Saber and "Hell's Fire" for Zheng Chenggong and Archer, were streamed live on Koei Tecmo's presentation for Fate/Samurai Remnant. It allows us to catch a glimpse of the game as it is a week before its release. From it, we can determine quite a few details and features that will make it to the game's release version, such as:
- The Holy Grail War, often the setting for Fate works, is referred to as the Waxing Moon Ritual in Fate/Samurai Remnant.
- Weapon modifications are possible, with your character able to change parts of their sword, such as its blade and hilt, to change its stats.
- You can meet with several rogue Servants (those with no masters) and earn their services to fight with you.
- There will be side stories for different characters, including the rogue Servants. These will be fully voiced as well.
- The main story will have multiple routes. This means that several playthroughs must be done to completely experience the entirety of Fate/Samurai Remnant's story.
- Each route has different perspectives, allowing you to play as other teams at specific parts of the game.
- Some of these are optional and available for a limited time, and thus missable.
- The game has a New Game+, allowing you to keep your abilities and perhaps items from your earlier playthrough and carry them over to your next run.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it's been confirmed that you can pet the many cats and dogs you encounter in the game.
