Sleep Awake Overview
Sleep Awake is an upcoming horror-adventure game slated for release in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It is the debut game from Eyes Out (led by Cory Davis and Robin Finck), published under the Blumhouse Games label.
Humanity faces mass insomnia and the terrifying phenomenon called The Hush, where those who fall asleep vanish entirely, a century in the future in the dystopian ruins of Earth’s last city, The Crush. As Katja, players must survive the death cult and authoritarian forces, as she finds out what happened behind her family’s disappearance.
The game is a first-person horror-narrative experience with psychedelic visuals and full-motion videos (FMV). Players collect ingredients to craft stimulants that stave off sleep, but when fatigue overtakes Katja, she drifts into the hallucinatory dreamscape called The Swell, where she must retrace markers from previous dreams to escape safely.

Sleep Awake Gameplay
Sleep Awake has players exploring The Crush in first-person perspective. This environment alternates between a decaying physical world and a surreal dreamlike realm. Exploration across both planes involves locating supplies, notably plants used to concoct solutions that temporarily stave off sleep, as revealed during early hands-on previews.
Puzzles are embedded within both reality and altered mental states. These segments reportedly progress in complexity over time. In one early build, crafting a basic anti-sleep solution is straightforward, but the developers hint at more layered takes in later scenarios.
Stealth and evasion play a central role in enemy encounters. If detected, the player must evade through chase-style sequences or seek hiding spots. The game reportedly intersperses full-motion video scenes as transitions.
