NBA 2K25 allows players to compete in simulated basketball matches, and offers a variety of game modes that are each set to different rules and objectives. Among these game modes is MyCareer, which is the game’s returning story mode that puts you in the shoes of a promising NBA rookie as he works his way up the NBA ladder and leads his team to become a dynasty.

NBA 2K25, as with the rest of the entries in the 2K basketball franchise, players compete in simulated basketball matches that typically involve two teams of 5 members. Each member has their assigned roles such as the Center, Power Forward, Shooting Guard, Small Forward, and Point Guard. From running through the court, passing, and shooting your shots, players can control each of these members, with the goal of scoring the most team points in a game of four quarter basketball matches.
