LIGHT OF MOTIRAM Overview
LIGHT OF MOTIRAM is an upcoming open-world survival game developed by POLARIS QUEST, a subsidy of Tencent residing in Shanghai, China. The title was formally unveiled on November 29, 2024, where many from the gaming industry instantly noticed its clear similarities to the Horizon series by Guerrilla Games. The game is planned to be a free-to-play live service game with crossplay for the PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices for both iOS and Android.
LIGHT OF MOTIRAM takes place in a post-modern world known as MOTIRAM in 2068 AD, where humanity no longer walks the once-Earth as the top of the food chain. Now, robotic beasts reminiscent of prehistoric animals known as the Mechanimals now claim the wilderness as theirs. As a member of the last remaining tribes comprising mankind, players must survive by collecting resources, building bases, crafting weapons, taming Mechanimals, and slaying the most powerful and hostile ones.

LIGHT OF MOTIRAM Gameplay
LIGHT OF MOTIRAM is an open-world survival game where players must fight and tame Mechanimals that roam the world. They can choose between numerous classes that wield class-specific weapons that allow for different playstyles. Some weapons include swords with a bow, a heavy hammer, or an axe. Combat is grounded, where attacking, dodging, blocking, and counter-attacking can be precisely executed.
Mechanimals can be defeated, or be recruited to become companions, where tamed machines can be used to help with resource collection such as tree logging. In combat, they are able to provide support to provide additional damage, defense, or to brace against attacks. Lastly, they can be ridden to traverse various terrains such as water or the skies. Mechanimal companions can be fully customized to best suit players’ needs in whichever aspect of survival.
The game will have online multiplayer and have crossplay between its target platforms.
