Kingdom Hearts 4 Overview
Kingdom Hearts 4 (or KH4) is the latest installment for the Japanese action-adventure RPG franchise by Square Enix and Disney, combining the characters of Final Fantasy and Disney together. It is the series’s fourth ‘mainline’ installment, and its 15th overall. It has yet to be announced where and when the game will be released in the future, but it can be assumed that it will arrive to the PlayStation 5 first, then onto other consoles and the PC later on.
Kingdom Hearts 4 will follow the events of the previous game where players saw the conclusion of the Xehanort Saga, where it left Sora trapped in the mysterious realm of the Quadratum. Sora must once again take up his Keyblade to explore the realistic city of Shibuya and fight the overwhelming forces of Heartless with his many forms, keyblade variations, accessories, special abilities, and Flowmotion techniques. Meanwhile, Sora’s friends, Riku, Donald, and Goofy seek to find a way to bring Sora back after his sacrifice at the end of KH3.

Kingdom Hearts 4 Gameplay
Kingdom Hearts 4 will continue the franchise’s ever-evolving action-adventure RPG gameplay where players control Sora as he strings together combos against his enemies. It is currently unknown what game mechanics from the previous games will be brought over to the new iteration, but from the trailers, Sora still wields his signature Keyblade and is able to use his parkour/Flowmotion to traverse and run across unique terrain to reach far-away places. The Command bar is also still present, reminiscent of all the mainline entries wherein Sora can choose to Attack, use Magic, use items, or change forms.
