Chronicles: Medieval is a dynamic and ambitious sandbox RPG set in 14th-century Europe, blending action, RPG depth, and grand strategy. It focuses on player agency, allowing players to forge their own path from humble beginnings to a position of power and influence. Players must create their character with little to no standing, then journey from rags to riches with any means necessary, be it as a mercenary, a merchant, a bandit, as a soldier for the king's army, or other roles.
Dynamic events such as famines, plagues, and natural disasters that can disrupt the political landscape and create new opportunities or challenges. It features third-person melee combat as the developers have partnered with a Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) expert to ensure historically accurate and weighty animations, aiming for a balance between realism and fun.
