Image

In addition to the new characters, this chapter also introduces Wayfarers, or unnamed NPCs that can assist the party while out and about on a mission. They cannot be controlled by the Tactical Command Mode and are lost after each mission, but can be added to the party past its usual limit of four members.

Play Avatars

Image

This Chapter also grants access to Play Avatars. These are Kirito Avatars from other players’ save files that they upload whenever they save their game. These can be accessed from the Base Facilities menu at every save point in Trade City, or Obsidia Castle Town.

Play Avatars replace your Kirito when selected and can be powerful boosts to a party, as their equipment and loadout at the time of their owner’s last save are retained. This is a way for players to share builds with one another, as long as they have each other’s avatar code.
