YAPYAP Gameplay
YAPYAP places up to six players inside a wizard’s tower, with layouts and room paths that vary between runs. The group explores the tower, sabotages objects, and uses spells to reach a nightly vandalism target before the timer runs out. Breaking furniture, damaging props, and generally creating messes all contribute to the team’s score.
Spellcasting is done through wands, most of which can be purchased from a store at the spawn area. All spells are cast using voice input, requiring spoken incantations, which adds an extra layer of risk when enemies are nearby.
Potions can be found, brewed, or sold, and are used to upgrade basic stats such as health and stamina, giving the group more room to recover from mistakes.
At the same time, the tower is patrolled by hostile creatures. Some can be defeated, while others must be avoided. Being detected often forces players to hide, create distractions, or move quickly to a different area. Once the vandalism goal is met, an exit must be located and reached to complete the run.
YAPYAP Story Plot
YAPYAP has players take on the role of magical minions summoned by a wizard. The action takes place inside the tower of a rival archmage, a sprawling, ever-changing structure filled with rooms, obstacles, and roaming creatures.
The minions’ task is simple: infiltrate the tower, sabotage objects, and create as much chaos as possible to reach a nightly vandalism target before escaping.
