WWE 2K24 Story Plot
As is tradition of the 2K wrestling games, WWE 2K24 will have a career mode called MyRISE where you can create your own wrestler and participate in an original storyline as you rise through the ranks of the WWE roster to achieve superstardom.
WWE 2K24 celebrates the momentous 40th anniversary of Wrestlemania, the biggest pro-wrestling show in the world, through "2K Showcase of the Immortals," a series of the 21 handpicked Wrestlemania matches you can play to relive the events’ most unforgettable stories and historical career-defining moments.
Most notably, the wrestler on the cover, "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, has had a long-running narrative of never being able to "Finish the Story" of winning the WWE Heavyweight Championship for his late father, Dusty Rhodes. As he graces the cover of this year’s edition of WWE 2K, many will be looking to play as Rhodes in the game and "Finish the Story" for him.

WWE 2K24 Gameplay
WWE 2K24 will have the normal wrestling simulation gameplay of attacking your opponents with your moveset to build up your finisher meter and successfully pin or submit them. In special stipulation matches, various foreign objects such as steel chairs, ladders, and tables will be at your disposal to inflict pain and damage to secure victory.
WWE 2K24 will also reintroduce different match types such as: Guest Referee, where you officiate the match and choose to disrupt the fight; Casket matches, where you must successfully place your opponent in a casket and shut the lid; Ambulance matches, where you must incapacitate your opponent and place them into an ambulance and send them to a local medical facility; and Gauntlet matches, where you must consecutively face wrestlers one-by-one until you lose or claim victory by defeating all opponents that were lined up.

The Showcase of the Immortals trailer goes through historical Wrestlemania moments in its history spanning 5 decades, and shows footage of the game being able to relive 21 of those matches.

The official gameplay trailer shows brief glances of gameplay and the new game modes such as the Casket match, the Ambulance match, and the Guest Referee match.
Official Announce Trailer | The Story’s Not Finished
The official announce trailer starts off with Cody Rhodes’ harrowing defeat to Roman Reigns in Wrestlemania 39, but he proclaims that the story’s not finished. The trailer then shows a montage of WWE Superstars, old and new, describing their stories throughout the ages, until the unveiling of WWE 2K24.
