Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter continues the story of Estelle and Joshua in the Liberl Kingdom. Read on to learn how it plays, what it's about, and everything else we know so far.

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Gameplay
Overhauls from the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will likely carry over to Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, like the hybrid system, which lets players seamlessly transition between Field Action (real-time action) and Command Battle (turn-based) modes.
In Field Action mode, players can initiate encounters with enemies in the environment and gain tactical advantages before the battle starts. The game will then transition to Command Battle mode, where players will manage the characters’ actions like movement, standard attacks, Arts, and special abilities called Crafts.
It is unknown how much of the system will change in the official release, but the original 2006 Trails in the Sky Second Chapter did share many systems with the first game.
Judging from the game’s teaser seen in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, the Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter remake will also be fully 3D and have updated visuals.
New 3D models for characters that debuted in the original 2006 game were also confirmed. As seen in the prerendered teaser, they will be in the same character style as the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter remake. With no official gameplay for the game as of this writing, we’ll be sure to update this as more information is available!
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Story Plot
After Joshua’s disappearance, Estelle sets out on a journey to find him in the hopes of bringing him home. While the teaser remained vague on the events of the sequel, the appearance of characters from the original 2006 game, like Renne, Luciola, and Georg Weissman, confirms that Estelle and her party will be facing the agents called Enforcers.
Not much is known about how faithful Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter will be to the original game, but the teaser seen in the 1st Chapter confirms a few of Estelle’s traveling companions. Scherazard, Agate, Olivert, Klaudia, Tita, Zane, and Anelace were all confirmed to return in the sequel.
