Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter continues the story of Estelle and Joshua in the Liberl Kingdom. Read on to learn how it plays, what it's about, and everything else we know so far.

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Gameplay
Overhauls from the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter carries over to Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, like the hybrid battle system, which lets players seamlessly transition between Field Action (real-time action) and Command Battle (turn-based) modes.
In Field Action mode, players can initiate encounters with enemies in the environment and gain tactical advantages before the battle starts. The game will then transition to Command Battle mode, where players will manage the characters’ actions like movement, standard attacks, Arts, and special abilities called Crafts. Equipping quartz to orbments still governs access to Arts and stat growth
The remake also layers new conveniences on top of those foundations. Quick Battles have been augmented with a "Brave Rush" or linked-attack mechanic that lets allied characters chain follow-up strikes under certain conditions. The game also carries over a save-data bonus system from the previous remake, so importing a save can grant starting items and other small benefits. There are also small minigames, like cooking and poker, that act as optional diversions that reward resources.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter adopts the visual and UI conventions Falcom used in the first remake. There will be fully 3D explorable environments and fully voiced scenes in both Japanese and English with multiple text-language options.
New 3D models for characters that debuted in the original 2006 game were also confirmed. As seen in the prerendered teaser, they will be in the same character style as the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter remake.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Story Plot
After Joshua’s disappearance, Estelle sets out on a journey to find him in the hopes of bringing him home. While the teaser remained vague on the events of the sequel, the appearance of characters from the original 2006 game, like Renne, Luciola, and Georg Weissman, confirms that Estelle and her party will be facing the agents called Enforcers.
Estelle Bright, Joshua Astray, Scherazard Harvey, Kloe Rinz, Agate Crosner, Olivier Lenheim, Tita Russell, and Zin Vathek are set to be the main cast in Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. The game's first teaser also previously confirmed the inclusion of Klaudia and Zane, who could be seen along with the rest of the cast.
