Tides of Annihilation is an action-adventure game where players fight with Gwendolyn and the Knights of the Round table in modern-day London. Read on to learn how it plays, what it's about, and everything else we know so far.

Tides of Annihilation Gameplay
Tides of Annihilation is a fast-paced, combo-driven, action-adventure game where players control Gwendolyn, the sole survivor of the fabled Knights of the Round Table, and, now, their only hope to stop ancient Avalon from merging with modern day london.
From what gameplay has been through interviews and trailers thus far, Tides of Annihilation will not be a Soulslike game in the traditional sense, but will still feature over 30 bosses spread across a wide map and a grand, overarching story.
As Gwendolyn, players can call on the help of various Knights to assist in combat, performing powerful moves like air combos, knock-ups, ranged arrow attacks, wide slashes, or dashes, to supplement her selection of weapons: Fists, Swords, and Bows. The fourth weapon is yet to be confirmed by Eclipse Glow Games.
The game has been confirmed to have armor, level-up, and skill-tree systems, reinforcing its action RPG roots, but Eclipse Glow Games has gone on record to say that it is nowhere near as expansive, detailed, or heavy as with other games like FromSoftware's Souls games. Armor has also been confirmed to be completely aesthetic and provides no mechanical advantage to the player, although other equipment upgrades still seem to be a valid way to progress.
Tides of Annihilation will be, on average, a 30+ hour experience populated with 30+ powerful bosses across a wide map. Although none of them have been named, players could expect antagonists from Athrurian legend like Mordred and Morgan Le Fay to make an appearance.
The Dual Frontline Battle System
Gwendolyn can summon spectral knights of Arthurian legend, who will join in combos, extending their chains, and using their abilities to stop time or create shields.
Two knights can be brought into battle, with two sets that can be swapped using the left and right directional buttons.
Gwendolyn can enter a partnered state with one of the knights, who will synchronize their attacks with hers as well as giving her other advantages such as a higher dodge range with Lamorak.

Tides of Annihilation Story Plot
Tides of Annihilation blends the mythos of Arthurian legend with modern-day London, reimagining a familiar tale through the perspective of Gwendolyn, the last surviving member of the legendary Knights of the Round Table.
Fueled by vengeance and a desperate mission to save her sister, she embarks on a high-stakes journey across two worlds. However, this fusion of past and present-day Avalon is as treacherous as the creatures that inhabit it. The fabled Knights are at her behest, however, and through their combined might, and Gwendolyn's cunning, they may just be able to save the day and stop the incursion.
