Threads of Time Story Plot
Threads of Time invites players on a journey through time, spanning from the prehistoric era to the distant future. As you traverse these diverse epochs, you'll uncover a rich tapestry of interconnected stories and unravel the secrets that shape civilizations.
According to the game's website, in the year 2,400 AD, the world is shrouded in rumors of a looming purge, casting a dark shadow over humanity's future. In the prehistoric era, 12,000,000 BC, you'll encounter colossal creatures like krakens and even have the opportunity to feast with Vikings and play with baby dinosaurs.
The Middle Ages, set in 1,000 AD, presents a world oppressed by the Grand Duke of Achren. As the common folk turn to smuggling and piracy, you'll take to the skies aboard the rugged airship Bandicoot, evading corrupt officials and seeking the legendary Pirate King's relics.
Finally, the Apocalypse era plunges you into a world ravaged by catastrophe. Forced to seek refuge in underground cities, humanity clings to survival amidst the ruins.
As you journey through these disparate time periods, you'll assemble a party of charismatic heroes from across the ages, each with their own unique skills and personalities. Together, you'll work to restore the ancient Order of the Time Knights and defend the timeline from impending chaos and corruption.
Threads of Time Gameplay
Inspired by classic JRPGs like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy, Threads of Time blends the nostalgic charm of retro gaming with modern visuals.
Combat in Threads of Time evokes the timeless, turn-based battles of old, but with a twist: the ability to manipulate time itself. It is currently unclear how this mechanic will work, but the game's website states that by doing so, you can unleash powerful combos and devastating team attacks. Each battle is a visual feast, with dynamic animations that make every spell and sword swing feel satisfying. Threads of Time Characters
Threads of Time currently boasts a roster of seven playable characters. While five of these heroes have been introduced on the game's website, the remaining two "shall be revealed in time."
